ISE 2020 Roundup

Integrated Systems Europe is the world’s largest exhibition for AV and systems integration. The show contained a full professional development programme supported by our association co-owners AVIXA and CEDIA, and our biggest conference programme ever.

We bid farewell to Amsterdam as ISE 2020 concluded the last show at the beautiful capital of Netherlands (Barcelona, we’re coming!). Neatly arranged zones spanning over 15 halls meant that ESCO’s visit has to be thoughtfully planned to maximise our 2 days there. Some of our valued partners like Crestron, Microsoft, CreateLED, Bose, Barco and Shure just to name a few, showcased several new solutions, with some even displaying prototypes of un-released products.

A significant shift towards a standard, simplified and scalable environment is clear at this show where we see manufacturers stepping into solutions not from their flagship line of products. While this presents competition amongst the big boys, it also signifies a united stance as the industry steps into the future of collaboration.

After speaking with Michael Natividad and Gisselle Balintong from ESCO Philippines, we have specially curated these top 9 most significant solutions to keep an eye out on this year:

#1 Amina Technologies

Using VPT (Vibrational Panel Technology), Amina has been able to take the common loudspeaker design and replace the cone with a flat panel. Instead of moving forwards and backwards visibly like a typical cone design, a VPT panel uses small vibrations to generate sound which can be heard but not seen. This allows for seamless integration of a loudspeaker into any wall, ceiling or flat decorative panel with zero visual impact.

With a range of different construction methods and finishing techniques globally, Amina have two core-technologies to allow integration of invisible loudspeakers into any room.

#2 Barco ClickShare Conference

Now, we know what you’re thinking, but this is a complete separate solution from the ClickShare we have all come to love.

ClickShare Conference connects wirelessly to your meeting room equipment for more immersive meetings. In less than 7 seconds you conference, collaborate and click from your own device, with your preferred conference tool.

Well, the promise of being able to connect to a conference in just 7 seconds is definitely a plus point for us, don’t you agree?

#3 Barco Control Room

As a control room professional, you know the value of data gathering, distribution and monitoring. Having the right information available provides complete situational awareness at any time, helping you and your stakeholders to take optimal decisions.

Quick fact: Do you know that control system integration is one of ESCO’s expertise?

#9 SmartStage

SmartStage is an immersive video environment which replaces the traditional green screen element of a virtual studio and allows the presenters and audience to see and interact with the content around them.

The content, such as financial data, structured teaching syllabus, corporate messaging or any other supporting asset is placed within the natural eye line and close proximity of the presenter. This enables the presenter to interact with the content in a far more natural way. With no rehearsals and no green-screen training required the speakers are more comfortable and can easily see and relate to the environment around them.

The SmartStage environment is proving incredibly popular within markets such as Education, Corporate Communications, Financial Services, Broadcast, E-Sports, Government and so many more. The set-up is scalable to fit any sized space and doesn’t require a dedicated broadcast studio environment. You could even build it in an office or basement!
